Qualifying Examinations and Eligibility
A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in the relevant subjects.
(or)
A pass in any one of the following HSC (Vocational Stream) with any ONE of the related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum average percentage in the relevant subjects.
(or)
Any other equivalent qualification with relevant subjects approved by the Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu.

Improvement marks: Improvement marks obtained by the candidates including Other State candidates will not be considered.
A pass with minimum eligibility marks in one of the Diploma Courses in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / Equivalent prescribed for the respective degree courses.
(or)
A pass with minimum eligibility marks in any recognized Bachelor's degree in science with minimum 3 years duration with 10 + 2 + 3 pattern of study and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
The candidate should have obtained the following minimum marks in the qualifying examination Diploma / B.Sc.

SCA, SC & ST | 40% in the qualifying examination will suffice and the minimum marks are the same as the passing minimum for Diploma Examinations of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / B.Sc. Degree Examinations |
